So, I am excited to tell you I am now working as an Acquisitions Editor with Curiosity Quills! I just got set up and am eagerly awaiting my first submission. This is something I've wanted to do for a while and I'm so grateful CQ is giving me this opportunity.

Today, I'm happy to share with you a friend and fellow Curiosity Quill's author, Brandice Snowden's cover for Demon's Veil, releasing on July 15th.

 Powerful veils hold Earth apart from realms mortals believe are merely tales of myth and legend. They are opening again, leaving humans vulnerable, and the monsters ready to strike.

Marie Leveau prefers to remain alone and anonymous, for she knows what goes bump in the night, and sacrificing others isn't part of her personality. But life isn’t always about getting what you want.

Contracted by The Organization, a shadow government agency, Marie is assigned a new Special Ops team, one she must introduce via Paranormal 101 to the very monsters they didn’t believe existed. I just broke 100 followers on the blog! Hooray! Thank you everyone. Since I've done so many giveaways lately I'm kind of out of things to give away! But, I do have "Me Paying it Forward" on the tabs above. I want to help those who are going through the writing/query process to help them get signed and published. I've also started reviewing between edits and CP things. So to celebrate reaching 100 followers, I'd like to critique your query or read your book.

Review - A Texas Hero

As I've said before, I've signed up for NetGalley. I've got a few pending now which I'm slowly and surely getting to now things with Kiya have quietened down.
So, today, I'm going to give you my review!
To start with, this did not begin how I expected, it was better! I picked this one because I'm a sap and love romances, (Thus my stalking of the Harlequin archives) but it's more than that. It opens with a big BANG and plenty of action.
The story follows Ethan and Abby, both single parents scared by the other parent of their child. Neither are looking for anything, so the tension fizzles between them from the very beginning, but not in a good way! I loved watching them tear the walls down from each other as they struggle to survive and get themselves out of the sticky situation they found themselves in.
But the sticky situation turns out to be a big scheme... I won't say more because I don't want to give out any spoilers. But I loved Ethan's fight. He's one determined guy! And Abby is so real. I think in her shoes I'd do the same thing. I even stopped to hug my own toddler several times while reading.
I enjoyed this very much and am looking forward to the next installment.
