Blog Tour: Capturing the Captain (American Pirate Romances: Book 1) by C.K. Brooke

Title: Capturing the Captain (American Pirate Romances: Book 1)
Author: C.K. Brooke
Genre: Historical Romance, Sea Adventure
Publisher: Limitless Publishing
Release date: 4/26/2016
Book Description:

In 1720, it’s a pirate’s life for Abigail Clear, daughter of a notorious colonial pirate captain…

But when a rival crew invades Abigail’s ship, she is taken prisoner. Now aboard the enemy vessel, she must contend with its formidable captain. But who is the real captive?

Locked away in the belly of The Indomitable is no place for a woman…

Captain James Morrow is more than displeased to discover his sole captive to be none other than an untamable young lass who will earn him no bounty. Yet if he can soften the little rogue, she just might switch her loyalties to him, and reveal the whereabouts of the infamous thief who sired her—and his stolen treasure. But two can play that game, as Abi is equally inclined to charm the dogged sailor off her father’s tail.

Might she and Captain Morrow run the risk of falling for their own charades?

They dance about their disguises as genuine developing emotions clash against deeper motives, and suspicion runs high. When the captain finally steals a first kiss, Abi decides it’s high time to make her escape—fleeing not only his vessel, but her fondness for the man who intends to see her father hang.

The high seas heat up as Captain Morrow’s quest to recapture Abi is halted by her pirate father, Captain Clear. Will James succeed in pursuit of his captive love, or will his desires conspire to make him a captive himself?

Excerpt:

“I don’t believe it.” His words were low and guttural. “After all of my patience with you…”

Abi snorted. “Patience?”

He took another step. “The kindness I’ve shown you…”

“Kindness!"

“This is how you treat me in return?”

Had Abi been a gentler woman, she might have lowered her eyes. However, she had the audacity not to.

“Your kiss, your sketch and company were but charades as you bade your time to deceive me,” he snarled. “And there I was, risking my hide and that of my friends to rescue you!”

“I do not need rescuing!” Abi whirled around and marched across the sand.

Blog Tour: One Night with Hemsworth by Eden Finley

Cole Turner’s ex-wife is getting remarried. No amount of alcohol can drown that out, but taking home the hot brunette at the bar is a good enough distraction. That’s all Paige is meant to be—a distraction.

Paige Minor is too busy studying for her law degree and getting over a bad breakup to care about finding another boyfriend. All she wants is one night of careless fun with a complete stranger. Cole seems like the perfect candidate.

When Cole goes to pick up his son from his ex’s perfect house, with her perfect fiancĂ©, and perfect new life, the last person he expects to see is Paige. She definitely shouldn’t be the one opening the door. As he stares at the person who was in his bed less than twenty-four hours earlier, a single thought occurs to him: I just slept with my ex’s new stepdaughter.

Excerpt:
“Are you okay?” My voice was smaller than I intended.
His head snapped up to mine. “You’re in the men’s toilets.”
“Thanks, Captain Obvious. I just wanted to make sure you were okay after—”
I was cut off by him slamming into me and crashing his lips down on mine. His tongue swept into my mouth, making me moan from the intense need behind the spontaneity.
He pulled my hips towards him and started walking backwards, bringing me with him. His lips never left mine until we were in the toilet stall and he was locking the door behind us. Pushing me against the door, he parted my legs with his knee as he pressed his body to mine, his lips landing on my neck.
I ran my hands through his hair as his lips made their way down to the top of my breasts. He palmed one in his hand while he focused his tongue on the other.
His lips slowly came back up to mine as his hand reached around, grabbing my ass.
My breathing was staggered, and I knew I had to stop him, but … just a couple more minutes? Please?
His hand ran up my thigh and under my skirt. He fingered the edge of my panties before pulling them aside to touch me. I threw my head back and moaned, pushing myself onto his fingers. I practically hissed as they entered me.
As much as I wanted more, I couldn’t do it. It’d already gone too far considering the only reason he was doing it was because he was angry at Reece.
“Wait,” I said, trying to pull back, but the door behind me didn’t let me get far.
“I don’t want to wait. I want you, Paige.”
“Only because you want to get back at your ex for being a bitch.”
He pulled away from me abruptly, removing his hand from underneath my skirt. “Is that really what you think?” he asked quietly.
“I don’t know. You haven’t even looked at me since I arrived, and—”
He pressed his body to mine again, bending slightly at the knees, his erection straining against his jeans and pushing into me right where I wanted it. “You feel that?” He rocked his hips against mine and I had to hold in a whimper. “I’ve been like that since I met you. No matter how many cold showers I have, no matter how many times I make myself come thinking of you, I go hard again the minute I remember our night together. The reason I haven’t looked at you tonight is because I haven’t let myself. This has nothing to do with Reece and everything to do with wanting to be inside you again.”
“I’m not having sex with you in a dirty bathroom stall, Cole. I’m a lady, remember?”
He chuckled. “Sorry, I keep forgetting.”

Eden Finely grew up near Brisbane in Qld, Australia. She's a romance/erotica author by day, and Batman at night ...
Okay, I’m not Batman, but I feel like I am. I have a cool secret name and everything.
I have several Young Adult works published under my real name. For this reason, I chose a pen name to write for this genre to keep them separate. Well that, and I don’t want my mother to read Eden's books. Seriously, how freaking awkward would that be?
I'm a lover of reading and writing anything that involves romance, contemporary, paranormal, suspense, and YA. If I'm not spending time with my family, chances are I'll have my laptop or kindle in my hand.

Excerpt:
Someone gives a feeble clap. “Magnificent! A most rousing speech to rally the heathens, Mason!”
My feet fuse to the floor at the raspy voice that wafts into the room. Tucker strains at his collar. I yank him back, my heart pounding.
A shrunken man with an unnatural stoop steps into view. My skin crawls with a new level of fear. My guns in the Crematauto, along with the rest of the weapons. I fumble around in my pocket and latch onto my switchblade. A trickle of sweat runs down behind my ears. The man standing in the entry looks freakishly old and frail. Tucker could take him down in a heartbeat, but my brain sounds an inner caution. He probably didnt come alone.
Before I even finish my thought, the doorway darkens and four armed men in black fatigues troop through. Big-shouldered, faces set like flint on necks thick as tree stumps. Schutz Clones! I tighten my grip on Tucker and command him to stay. One false move and hell end up another carcass waiting to be incinerated. He minds me, but tension radiates through his collar.
“Welcome to the Craniopolis,” the old man says. “My apologies for the modest welcoming committee, but your timing is most unfortunate. Everyone is at the unveiling of our new Hovermedes prototype.” His body shakes out a shallow breath, as he shuffles toward me. “Allow me to introduce myself. I am Dr. Lyong.”
I slide my gaze in Masons direction. His face registers confusion. Then a flicker of recognition.
“What ... happened to you?” he asks, in a half-whisper.
Dr. Lyong jerks to a stop in front of me and lets out a long, trembling sigh. Its all I can do not to gag. His breath smells of decaying compost.
“Restructuring DNA proved more complex than I had hoped.” Dr. Lyong runs a finger under his beaked nose and waves it dismissively in Masons direction. The skin is stretched so tight over his hand I can see the grape-colored veins forking out beneath it. He barely looks human.
I cant repress a shudder.

Blog Tour: Society’s Most Scandalous Viscount by Anabelle Bryant

Title: Society’s Most Scandalous Viscount
Author: Annabelle Bryant
Genre: Historical Romance
When rules are made to be broken…
Viscount Kellaway may sound like a gentleman, but he doesn’t act like one. As far as Kell is concerned, drink, women and the wrong side of the law are much more attractive indulgences than could be found in polite society – much to the scandal of the ton.
With all of Brighton’s women to choose from, Kell has never settled for one – and his devilish good looks have meant he’s never had to. But when he spies Angelica Curtis walking on the beach by moonlight, the living vision of a familiar dream, all that changes.
Suddenly, Kell finds himself craving the touch of a single woman…and it just so happens that the woman in question won’t have him! But if Kell’s bad ways have taught him anything, it’s that nothing is truly out of bounds…

Society’s Most Scandalous Viscount is the story of Kellaway, a pirate-viscount with a distressing past, and Angelica, an earl’s daughter with a dismal future. Throughout the novel Kell finds he is often chasing Angelica down, finding her, losing her and then finding her again, because he’s determined to have her and he always gets what he wants.
My favorite scene occurs near the end of chapter 18. Kell has chased Angelica through the dark alleys of London and when he finally catches her, his first action is a long, deep kiss…then he offers to take her home in his carriage. But their shared kiss in the carriage quickly turns into much more…one of the sexiest scenes I’ve written to date.
I loved creating Kell as a pirate-viscount because it allowed me to blur the lines of aristocratic etiquette. He breaks rules, crosses boundaries and doesn’t have a care. He is perfectly matched with Angelica and together their story is my sexiest Regency yet.
